That said, it's worth noting that when we swapped the supplied lens for the more expensive Canon 70-300 IS USM lens, the 400D produced even better images. One option for enthusiasts then is to just buy this cam's body and put the cash saved here towards a
I like the size and weight, and of coure the flexibility of the EF series lenses. I was hoping to use a eye.fi in it, but the CF to SD/SDHC card doesn't seem to work in this camera, so that's a shame. I went out and bought a 266x CF card, and the speed is great! I've heard complaints that the camera is too light, but I like the weight -- I was actually expecting it to be much lighter, considering the reviews I read. The controls aren't as intuitive as they could be. The guide is a little hard for the layman to understand, so it's taken me awhile to figure out how to do some simple things, with the camera. I find myself wondering, "Why can't I turn off the flash in this mode?" "Why can't I adjust the ISO in this mode?" Maybe I can, but I haven't found a way, so far, and the guide is kind of thick... and tiny. But I have taken some great photographs, with it. It came highly recommended by a great photographer, and I just have yet to achieve the quality that she gets out of the camera. It's also a little hard to tell how clear your photos come out, because the lcd is so small. I would recommend the camera
